So… I have been bad at updating.
Maybe I was scared, Maybe I’m lazy. Who knows.
But I do know that I’m going to try and at least post things… because that’s the point… right?
So on that note…
I love Maru. If you don’t know who Maru is, he’s an adorable Scottish Fold (cat) that lives in Japan.
He has a website and a YouTube site .
My favorite videos (and I haven’t seen them all) are…
1. Big Box and Maru
(it gets really good around 00:51)
2. Moving and Maru
(make sure to watch at 1:40 & 2:34)
That’s it for now.
The October issue of Wired profiled a couple of music videos, two of which are extremely cool…
1. Toe Jam by: Brighton Port Authority (featuring David Byrne and Dizzee Rascal). A silly video created by Keith Schofield, and the song isn’t too bad either.
2. Neon Bible by: Arcade Fire. Awesome interactive video created by Vincent Morisset
These two videos got me thinking about other music videos that I have enjoyed. I realized that for some reason these next three videos meant a lot to me when I was a youngin.
1. Don’t Come Around Here No More by: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
2. Last Dance with Mary Jane by: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
3. Heart Shaped Box by: Nirvana
side note on Nirvana: I remember Nate listening to songs in his room over and over again just so he could figure out all of the lyrics.
Now, a music video that did not come out of the 90′s or Wired Magazine… this is just one I like.
White Winter Hymnal by: Fleet Foxes
Enjoy.
